About THE COMMODORE
Located on the shores of Nagawicka Lake in the heart of Lake Country, The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant inhabits the historic property that first opened in 1902 as the Pleasant View Hotel and Resort and was most recently the Seven Seas for nearly four decades. Operated by The Bartolotta Restaurants, the premier restaurant and catering organization in the Greater Milwaukee region, The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant is named for the leader of classic yacht clubs and embraces the historical significance of the past with modern touches of elegance. The unique, expansive property has been thoughtfully reimagined to include a remarkable suite of dining and event experiences, including a restaurant, intimate private dining rooms, and expansive outdoor space for groups and gatherings.
The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant is one of four nominees recognized in the Event Spaces category of the 21st annual HD Project Awards presented by Hospitality Design, awards that recognize excellence in hospitality design. The HD Project Awards nominees were carefully selected by a panel of eleven judges, who evaluated nearly 900 entries from around the world.
From its stunning art collection celebrating Wisconsin artists to its meticulously curated design and architectural details, The Commodore honors the past while embracing the future. Developed within a historic waterfront property, the property’s multi-year restoration carefully preserves its storied past while offering a refined setting for today’s guests. The architectural design of The Commodore evokes the charm of an early 20th-century summer home. Light, airy tones complement warm, cozy elements, creating a space that feels both inviting and timeless.
