How long have you been with The Bartolotta Restaurants?
I have been with The Bartolotta Restaurants for almost six years. I have worked at Bacchus - A Bartolotta Restaurant, The Rumpus Room - A Bartolotta Gastropub and now Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro for the past 16 months.
What is your favorite thing about the job?
The energy at the bar, and the gorgeous events that we do. When I leave work at night, I feel like I just left the coolest party in the city. What are you most looking forward to at the restaurant in the coming months? It is wedding season - big, small, indoors, outdoors, in a tent, we do the most amazing weddings! I love wedding ceremonies themselves. In the movie “27 Dresses” the perpetual bridesmaid says that during the ceremony she always watches the groom. I agree, brides always look a little nervous, the grooms always look so happy and proud.
What is your favorite thing to order at Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro?
We have this killer trout dish or the Hanger Steak with Frites (super simple classic bistro fare - Yum!) or anything from the dessert list. I have a sweet tooth.
What do you do when not in the restaurant taking care of guests?
We enjoy travel and are getting ready to go back to Cape Cod in a few weeks. I like spending as much time as possible at our cabin in Northern Wisconsin, working in my yard (it's my hobby and my therapy) or just being at home with my husband of 26 years, the dog and cat - my happy place.
