Castello di Volpaia Wine Dinner

Take a wine tour of medieval Italy without leaving Wisconsin! Castello di Volpaia located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Italy dates back to 1172. Raffaello Stianti, one of Italy's top printers and bookbinders, purchased the estate in 1966 and gifted it to his daughter, Giovannella in 1972. Giovannella's daughter, Federica, the third generation of her family assumed responsibility of the Prelius estate in 2007, as a gift from her mother, which she now oversees. Federica earned several degrees throughout Italy and ultimately decided to pursue the adventure of running her family's historic winery. The Stiani family's commitment to quality, organic farming techniques, and historical preservation has resulted in some of the finest Chianti in the world.
