Nominate Chef Nick Wirth for a James Beard Award

This year, we would like to nominate one of our own for a James Beard Award. The late James Beard was a cookbook author and teacher with an encyclopedic knowledge about food and a champion of American cuisine. This award in his name is the highest honor in America for chefs currently running restaurants, often dubbed “The Oscars of Food.”

Since 2009, Executive Chef Nick Wirth has worked to build the reputation of culinary excellence that is Bacchus – A Bartolotta Restaurant. Bacchus is consistently praised for orchestrating fine dining like no other upscale restaurant in Milwaukee and has been named by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as one of the top restaurants in Milwaukee for many years. Chef Wirth’s menu changes seasonally to celebrate the freshest local ingredients and offers dishes that pair perfectly with a carefully curated wine list, earning Bacchus recognition as one of America’s Top 100 Wine Restaurants by Wine Spectator.  We feel Executive Chef Nick Wirth has earned the honor of a nomination for James Beard Award for Best Chef Midwest.

  3. If needed, create a profile or sign in

  5. For Chef’s First Name enter: Nick

  6. For Chef’s Last Name enter: Wirth

  7. For Restaurant Name enter: Bacchus - A Bartolotta Restaurant

  8. For Restaurant City enter: Milwaukee
