Wandering Winemaker: Malabaila di Canale

Dine at Ristorante Bartolotta on Wednesday, July 18 and meet Lucrezia Carrega Malabaila, 65th- generation producer at Malabaila di Canale. This winery is set in the heart of Piedmont and produces an amazing array of wines that are soft and balanced, due to the very sandy, white/beige soils of the Roero. It is important to point out that the soils – just across the Tanaro River – in Barbaresco and Barolo are much heavier and are clay and marl based.

We’ll feature our regular menu along with Executive Chef Juan Urbieta’s menu which will be designed to match their renowned wines. Lucrezia will greet you and if you’re interested in learning more about the wines, will explain more about this distinguished vineyard's offerings.
