Prepare to experience a truly unique dining experience in the heart of Wauwatosa village as the team from Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993 hosts a Friuli Venezia Giulia Winemaker Dinner featuring Jermann wines.

Nestled in northeastern Italy, Friuli Venezia Giulia is one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. The small but vibrant region is an amalgam of culture and climate. Commanding the borders of Austria and Slovenia, it reveals more than a hint of Slavic influence in its culture and cuisine. The landscape gracefully flows from mountain peaks to coastal stretches. This unique environment – warm sea breezes, chilly high-altitude nights, and diverse mineral-rich soil – creates the perfect terroir for wine. As a result, though small, Friuli Venezia Giulia produces more than half of Italy’s white wines, and its selection of reds are gaining in fame, as well.

Our special guest for the evening is Felix Jermann, owner and son of winemaker and legend Silvio Jermann. Silvio Jermann has made Italian wine history, especially when it comes to white wines like the Vintage Tunina and Dreams. Heir to a traditional Friulian winery dating back to 1881, Silvio graduated from two renowned wine academies, Conegliano and Istituto di San Michele. When he returned to his family's winery, Silvio inaugurated a new era not only for Jermann but for white vinification in Italy.

Since then, Jermann wines have become known for their purity, depth of flavor and richness. Jermann’s W Dreams is arguably the most iconic Chardonnay from Italy.
