Costa di Bussia Piemonte Winemaker & White Truffle Dinner

Journey to the heart of Piemonte as the team at Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993 celebrates the start of white truffle season and Barolo wines with Costa di Bussia. Joining us for the event will be Massimo Bracco, Ambassador for Costa di Bussia, who will explain the luxurious wines and amazing region of Piemonte.

Located in Novello, in the heart of the Barolo district, Paolo and Guido Sartirano rule the business of Costa di Bussia with wisdom and respect for the tradition and for the history of this company. They represent the fourth generation owning the winery and want to be respectful to the work their family put into the land and vineyard. The brothers always have a keen eye on investments for the future and base their decisions on the values they’ve learned from their ancestors: consistency, authenticity, and innovation.

Also sourced in Piemonte, the team at Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993 will be presenting the first white truffles of the season in each course for this dinner. White truffles (sometimes called Piedmont or Alba Truffles based on the area in Italy where they are found) grow a few inches down in the earth, typically around the roots of oak, chestnut, or hazelnut trees. The harvest season begins in late September through December. At The Bartolotta Restaurants, we receive our precious shipment of fresh truffles from Urbani Truffles, an esteemed Italian distributor that is responsible for a majority of truffle sales in Europe. Led by Olga Urbani, the company sources fresh truffles directly from regional truffle hunters in Italy.

The culinary team at Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993 are creating a five-course menu that will pair perfectly with five exquisite wines from Costa di Bussia. Two courses will feature fresh truffles flown in from Italy that day. Guests that want the ultimate truffle experience will have the opportunity to purchase truffles for two other courses for an additional $75.

Please join us for a dining experience at the start of the white truffle season created by the culinary team at Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993 and paired with exquisite wines from Costa di Bussia.
