Châteauneuf-du-Pape Winemaker Dinner

Please join the team at Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro for a wine dinner highlighting iconic wines from southern France - Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Translating to “The Pope’s New Castle,” Châteauneuf-du-Pape takes its name from the time when the Pope moved from Rome to Avignon in the early 1300s. However, the first vines of the region were actually planted by the ancient Romans.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an exciting wine region making great character-filled, red wines that age and evolve with time. The varied styles of red — from big, bold and rich, to opulent and sexy, as well as elegant and refined — coupled with the natural freshness and spicy quality, make it perfect to serve with the five-course menu prepared by Chef de Cuisine John Raymond.

Join us as we welcome Laurence Féraud, owner and winemaker of Domaine du Pégau, to explain the winemaking process to produce such excellent and historic wines.
