Blackbird Wine Dinner
On the evening of Thursday, April 5 Harbor House will welcome a premier Napa winery to the restaurant for an educational and delicious wine dinner. Blackbird Vineyard, founded in the early aughts has quickly become one of the finest wineries in the Napa Valley. Originally a Walnut Orchard before it was bought by proprietor Michael Polenske, the label's original specialty was Merlot, meaning "little blackbird" in French patois. With a focus on Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the vineyard consistently releases truly expressive, handcrafted wines. Harbor House has been exclusively serving the vineyard's blended red wine, Paramour, by the glass, which will be on hand the evening of the event.
Harbor House Executive Chef, Andrew Ruiz will create a special menu to be expertly paired with each wine. Joining from the vineyard is Yohannah Burmeister an Advanced Sommelier who also passed the rigorous Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) program at the advanced level in 2019. Yoshannah works closely for Blackbird Vineyards to craft authentic vineyard-based wines. She is excited to speak to each food and wine pairing and speak with guests about her experience and passion for wine and food.
