Not Just Another Wedding Show
If you’ve ever been to a wedding show you come to know what to expect - an array of vendors to meet, a wedding dress fashion show, and cake samples. WedMKE proved that it was not just a typical wedding show! I attended the inaugural show on March 13 at Turner Hall Ballroom with my team which was put on by The Pabst Theater with Turner Hall and Milwaukee Airwaves and we found ourselves having a ball meeting vendors, dancing to music, and sampling delicious fare from other vendors at the show.
Live Music, Dancing, Art, and More
WedMKE hand selected the vendors from a variety of applications all over the city. In addition, they had four different bands throughout the day including Kyle Feerick, Bluewater Kings Band, The Vitrolum Republic We, and Unity Candle. The music gave the show an upbeat, fun feel that guests and vendors couldn’t help but sing and dance to. Our friends at Champagne Studios even caught some of us on film, check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/ChampagneStudios/videos/1353389741353728/?pnref=story! Additionally, WedMKE brought in caricature artist, Bill Begos, who was so energetic I just had to smile! Art Below Zero created an awesome engagement ring ice sculpture that many used as a photo opportunity throughout the day! We also mingled with quite a few other vendors we work with a lot including Front Room Photography, Sound by Design DJ, and Evenement Planning to name a few!
We kept The Bartolotta Catering booth simple and elegant but with a twist! We had a crew from our corporate office build our light up Bartolotta Weddings sign (thank you!), Impressions Floral created our backdrop and centerpieces, along with BBJ Linen and Canopies for our carpet, tables and chairs to finish our design.
Our Executive Chef, Felix Rosado from Bartolotta Catering at Discovery World, made our famous Wild Mushroom Risotto with Fontina Cheese & Truffle Oil for guests to sample.
We had a perfect day at the WedMKE wedding show, we were able to meet so many potential brides and grooms and connect with old friends, and we can’t wait to participate in the show again next year!
