How Care-a-lotta Works
How It Works
Our mission is to support local nonprofit organizations and create platforms for awareness to help make Milwaukee a strong, vital community in which to live and work. Read below to see exactly how we work towards this goal.
Any 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) organization will receive a donation from Bartolotta’s that equals a percentage of their food and beverage costs when hosting an event (minimum of 20 guests and subject to availability) in one of our restaurants or catering facilities - Ristorante Bartolotta, Lake Park Bistro, Mr. B’s-A Bartolotta Steakhouse, Bacchus, The Rumpus Room, Joey Gerard’s Greendale, Joey Gerard’s Mequon, Miss Beverly's Deluxe Barbeque, Downtown Kitchen, Pier Wisconsin, The Grain Exchange.
- Receive 15% of your food and beverage total back when hosting an event Sunday through Thursday.
- Receive 10% of your food and beverage total back when hosting an event Friday or Saturday.
Events must be 20 people or more, must be hosted on-site on mutually agreed upon dates, and are subject to each unit’s availability. Care-a-lotta Credit is not valid with any other discount.
To inquire about booking a private event for your nonprofit organization with The Bartolotta Restaurants, please contact Cindi McLeod at (414) 935-5014 or email@example.com.
Each month, The Bartolotta Restaurants award $100 in Care-a-lotta Certificates to 40 local organizations for their events, galas, fundraisers and other special needs. These certificates are awarded via a lottery system. Organizations may apply as often as they’d like but are only permitted to win once per year.
Winners are placed into the lottery one month prior to the month in which their event will occur.
We recommend that you apply at least two months before your event. Winners are notified at the end of the month prior to their event. For example, if your charity event takes place in March, please apply by January and you’ll be notified in late February if you’ve won.

Each year, The Bartolotta Restaurants chooses one local nonprofit organization as its Gal-a-lotta partner, allowing us to use our resources to shine a spotlight on and raise awareness, friends, volunteers and funds for the organization and its mission throughout the year.
The key element of Gal-a-lotta is the opportunity to utilize the historic Grain Exchange room to host a completely funded gala in order to build awareness of and fundraising for the organization’s mission. The partnership is intended to be highly collaborative, and for our part, the gala will be completely staffed by Bartolotta employees volunteering their time and talents. Read the guidelines here. Applications to be our 2017 partner are now closed.
