Joey Gerard’s - A Bartolotta Supper Club To Open In The Heart Of Historic Greendale
(MILWAUKEE, WIS – August, 24, 2012) – Joey Gerard’s – A Bartolotta Supper Club is the newest addition to the historic south Milwaukee suburb of Greendale. Opening Friday, August 31 at 5601 Broad Street, Joey Gerard’s – Greendale is the first supper club concept for The Bartolotta Restaurants and one of two venues the group will open this year. Another Joey Gerard’s supper club will open at 11120 W. Cedarburg Road in Mequon late September.
“Joey Gerard’s is nostalgic for me in many ways from the memories of my family visiting Wisconsin supper club establishments to naming the restaurant what my mother called me as a child,” said Joe Bartolotta, President & Owner of The Bartolotta Restaurants. “While you may find Joey Gerard’s is not your typical northwoods supper club, the interior focal point will be a nod to that genre with “Montague”, a large moose head that hung in a northern Wisconsin restaurant for 40 years.”
The Joey Gerard’s chef team will be led by Corporate Chef Adam Siegel with Executive Chef Joe Schreiter, formally Executive Sous Chef at Harbor House. "A lot of research went in to developing the menu for this concept and guests will find an ala carte, family-style and kid’s menu featuring many classic supper club specialties,” said Joe Schreiter, Executive Chef of Joey Gerard’s. “We are thrilled to be the first restaurant in the Midwest to use a Josper Woodstone charcoal oven to cook a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables at over 700 degrees which creates an incredibly unique and delicious flavor profile.”
Guests’ supper club experience will begin with one of four Lazy Susan options great for sharing with parties of 2-4 people. Appetizers start at $4 for a cup of grandma’s chicken noodle soup and also include oysters Rockefeller, raw beef and onions and a classic Waldorf salad. Steaks range from $15.50 for a Chop Steak to $39.95 for a 24 oz. porterhouse, all served with your choice of sauce and side. Specialty entrees include baked whitefish, veal picatta, broasted chicken, Steak Diane and baby back ribs; full slab ($24.95) half slab ($16.50). Sandwiches range from $10.95 for a charcoal grilled burger to $16.25 for an open faced “club” steak sandwich all served with fries and cole slaw. For parties of six or more, 3-course family-style dinner options are available for $29.95 per person. Bananas foster or a slice of the Pie of the Day are a few of the many desserts available for $6.
Joey Gerard’s bar features a selection of tap beer, signature supper club cocktails, value-oriented wine offerings and of course, ice cream drinks. Guests will find traditional Wisconsin mixed drinks like a Korbel Sidecar, Rob Roy and of course, a Wisconsin-style Old Fashioned. The beverage menu offers liquid dessert with ice cream drinks including a Brandy Alexander, Grasshopper and more ($8).
Joey Gerard’s will be open for dinner service from 4:30-9:00 pm Mondays through Thursdays, 4:30-10:00 pm on Fridays, 4:00-10:00 pm on Saturdays and 4:00-8:00 pm on Sundays. Happy hour specials will be offered Monday – Friday, 4:30pm – 6pm. The restaurant will be closed Monday, September 3 and Monday, September 10. Weekend breakfast and lunch service will begin later this year.
