Champagne & Bordeaux Winemaker Dinner with Edouard Labruyère

The team at Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro is proud to welcome Edouard Labruyère to Milwaukee for a truly special Champagne and Bordeaux dinner. Currently overseeing both Château Rouget and Champagne J.M. Labruyère, Edouard accepted the reigns of the family estates from his father in 2008 and has been committed to preserving the family legacy ever since.

Châtaeu Rouget has one of the longer histories in the Bordeaux wine region of France. Vineyards on the estate appear to have been planted by the ancient Romans at one point. Building on this rich history, the Labruyère family has been managing the property since 1992 and has been renewing the winery with renovating and replanting vineyards as necessary.

Champagne J.M. Labruyère is a tribute to Edouard’s ancestor who started the family’s foray into winemaking. This estate was acquired by the family in 2012, however, the origin dates back to 1820, when the cellars were originally built. he team at J.M. Labruyère is dedicated to making this Domaine one of the best Grower Champagnes by combining tradition, sustainable agriculture, modern vinification, Burgundian know-how and a vineyard designate approach to let each terroir show itself.

James Beard Award-winner and Executive Chef of Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro Adam Siegel has created an exceptional five-course menu to accompany the Champagnes and Bordeaux selected to be highlighted by Sommelier Mariana Popescu.
