Napa Winemaker Dinners Featuring Green Bay Packer Charles Woodson, Owner of TwentyFour Wines Heart of Green Bay Meets the Heart of Napa Valley

The Bartolotta Restaurants are proud to offer the stellar wines of our friend and football great, Charles Woodson, at the 5th annual TwentyFour Napa Winemaker Dinner. The evening will start with a silent auction featuring signed memorabilia benefitting Charles’ favorite charity, the Mott’s Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan, followed by a four-course meal prepared by James Beard Award Winning Chef, Adam Siegel. Courses will be paired with fantastic wines including Cabernet and new this year, Sauvignon Blanc. Charles will complete the evening with wine-making and playoff game stories.

TwentyFour vineyard is farmed with artisanship, precision and delicate care – not unlike skills displayed in the game of football. Located two and a half miles south of Calisoga, next to esteemed neighbors including Sterling, Clos Pegase and Schramsberg, TwentyFour produces wines with complexity. An endeavor born of humble beginnings evolved into so much more with grapes that were cultivated in some of the most exclusive vineyards in Napa Valley which produce a wine of pure enjoyment, gratitude, giving back and paying forward.

Craig is the General Manager, Founding Partner and Director of Winemaking for Somerston Vineyards, one of the most exciting new wineries in California. Not just a winery, it is a working lamb ranch and garden, with vegetables, honey, fruit and olive trees.

Somerston, located just east of Rutherford in St Helena, is on 1628 acres, of which over 200 are planted. With an elevation of 2,800 ft on rolling hills, it is true “God’s Country” with spectacular views. Tours are given on 4-wheel ATVs, followed up by great tastings in their facility. Trained at Robert Mondavi and Spring Mountain Wineries, Craig makes three great lines of wine- “Highflyer” varietals and blends, “Priest Ranch” and the flagship “Somerston” estate wines.

Grain Exchange

Memorable Events at The Grain Exchange Featuring the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic Voyage on April 15

On the evening of April 14, 1912, first class passengers on the Titanic feasted in the dining saloon with a ten-course meal and paid the equivalent of $124,000 in today’s dollars for the ocean voyage. Several hours later, in the early morning of April 15th, the Titanic sank taking 1,581 passengers and crew.

Titanic sailed during the last years of the Edwardian era before WWI. Food was rich and the privileged ate and drank with great abandon. Bartolotta Catering & Events at the Grain Exchange will re-create our version of one of two 10-course menus recovered from that evening. All served courses will be paired with fine wine and “Captain Smith” will be on deck to greet passengers along with service staff dressed in period costume. Costumes are optional for travelers.
